Polyominoes + a half-square
There are a couple of ways of making sets of polyforms consisting of squares and diagonally-cut half squares. Two of these ways are additive, i.e. taking a base polyform then grafting the half-square onto it, and subtractive or taking the base polyomino and slicing a triangle off it. Both of these yield different sets of pieces - Creating tiles of size 3½ square units by adding a triangle to the trominoes gives either 12 pieces whereas doing it by chopping up tetrominoes gives 14. In the below pages I've generally focused on the sets created subtractively, following the knuckleheaded maxim of "more pieces = more fun".
